An ideal world is one where your surroundings stimulate, challenge and ultimately restore you.
Award winning designer Dorian Webb believes that taking the time to savor the small, yet luxurious indulgences in life is what makes it so pleasurable and rewarding. After graduating from Yale University, she founded her eponymous company to create handcrafted objects that encouraged people to pause to appreciate the beauty that surrounds them from the gentle curve of a neck, to the ephemeral essence of a flower. She began with a collection of Venetian glass and semiprecious jewelry inspired by the unexpected juxtaposition of colors and textures in nature. Success quickly followed as Dorian’s jewelry was immediately picked up by Neiman Marcus and other high end retailers across North America, Europe and Asia. Dorian continues to count among her clients many celebrities and luminaries, and has often designed one of a kind pieces for them.
This colorful and whimsical collection was driven by her desire to explore the potential for beauty where it is often overlooked. Dorian and her creations have been featured on NBC’s Today Show, The Oprah Winfrey show and in numerous national and international publications including The New York Times, New York Magazine, O The Oprah Magazine, InStyle, Real Simple,The Robb Report, Essence, Marie Claire, Lucky, House Beautiful, Victoria, Veranda and Home Lighting. In 2006, Dorian hosted an episode of Your Private Island for the Fine Living network. Since then, Dorian has been a frequent lecturer and panelist at universities, design schools and business conferences where she has spoken about her design philosophy, branding and building a lifestyle brand.
